Had the pleasure of taking Ozzie his son Chris and a few of his high school buddies for a day of dolphin fishing, we were somewhat skeptical due reports of recent days surrounding the full moon. We picked them up at Haulover at 7:00am and headed offshore, we were greeting by slight rollers as we hit 250 ft. or so we deployed the trollers, we went about 1 hour without anything, so we ran off in search of life.................at ~ 800ft. we had our 1st phin then another, we then see a large patch of weed and as we get there another keeper, we starting pitching pilchards and for the better part of 2 hours we had dolphin surrounding us, although none more than 10 lbs. We managed to land 10+ keepers and released an equal amount or more to catch another day. Great day on the water and our 1st sign of life from the phins this season. Until next time.
