Miami Fishing Report, BILLFISH 12-5-10

We had a nice couple in town from Missouri and their son and daughter in law from Florida`s west coast, our plan was to try to grab a king or 2 early, then troll for phins/wahoo, then search for a bill fish. We managed to have a few king bites but were unable to boat any, trolling proved useless as we covered miles of ocean without a knockdown, so we were ready to set out the goggle eyes for a sail, after quite some with goggles of both flatline and off the kite, we finally get our bite. The fish was a big bill fish, after more than 2 hours of battling the fish and facing darkness we had to apply more pressure and at boat side we lost the trophy fish. As more pressure was applied the fish gave us plenty to be excited about as he put on an aerial display just yards from the boat.
